Mobile Dungeon

Mobile Music
Mobile Dungeon is a battle RPG dungeon crawler from Playa Games that takes place in the same universe as Shakes & Fidget.During the game you cross several regions, ranging from dry deserts and pirate islands to the cold north and the burning hell.
So I was tasked with composing a lot of different music tracks to suit every area of the game — all including exploration, battle, and dungeon loops. To be able to produce those, I had to use a lot of orchestral, ethnic, and percussive libraries. But to still add some of my own, I recorded various instruments on top, such as the horsehead fiddle, mandolin, guitars, and percussion instruments like bass drum, snare drum, wooden toms, cymbals and the cajon.60 Tracks
There are 60 tracks in total. And to avoid overwhelming listeners who want to enjoy the soundtrack outside the game, I selected 13 tracks that I like the most and uploaded them to a so-called 'Composer's Selection'.This album includes the heroic main theme and one tune from the tutorial and guides you through the already mentioned desert and pirate areas, as well as mystical jungles, the cold north and the shadow world, and finally the final level, which rounds everything off with an epic funky tune.
You can listen to it on YouTube, Spotify and all other streaming platforms.Sound Design
Besides all the music, it was another challenge to design a lot of battle sound effects that fit all the different weapon types, from fireballs and arrows to axes, swords, bats, etc. It was a seemingly endless amount. To keep things manageable, we decided to create a selection (still close to 100, I think — which is a lot for a mobile game) of the most important ones that could be reused several times for weapons of the same type. But that's not all. There were a lot ultimate abilities that needed their own unique sounds as well.
Since those animations were also uploaded to social media, I mostly had to create audio for short video clips that you can see and listen to to the right. You'll find more on their YouTube channel or all of them in the game :)
